Dodge Intrepid 3.3
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Intrepid 3.3 | | | General comments: | I love this car. Its a Dark Purple 1997 4 Door Base model with the not-so-wussy 3.3 V6. Maybe "whooping" other cars with your Intrepids is why they are POS's. I wouldn't treat mine like sh*t like some of you do. Abusing your car and then whining when its having problems is so stupid. I have done regular maintenance, changed my oil with Mobil 1 Synthetic (gets pricey, but has paid off), and have never thought of taking another car off the line. Why act ignorant over a simple stop light? My car is close to the 100,000 mile mark with all original parts*, including the transmission and air conditioning parts. *I have only had 2 problems with this car, if you call them probmems. About 5,000 miles after I bought it, the alternator went out, replaced under warranty (At first I feared this was going to be another Ford). Well, around 90,000 miles a hose burst, spilling antifreeze all over a Wendy's parking lot. I drove it to a service shop where they replaced the hose and lost antifreeze for $5. Maybe if you guys would be nice to your cars, they would be nice in return. If anyone is looking for a good used Intrepid, try to buy one that has proof of good care. These cars seem to be crap if they aren't taken care of. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | - Headlights are bad. They are a joke on bright. Dodge has obviously made the new lights better.- Paint is very cheap, it has come off in large flakes | | | Previous car: | I had a 1996 Taurus for about 2 years before I bought this car. The Ford was the biggest POS. Transmission problems, electrical problems, etc. I will never buy Ford again. This wonderful Dodge is perfect where that ugly Taurus failed. My neighbor has a 19 |
