| | Model of the car: | Intrepid | | | General comments: | Bought the car with 39,000 miles. Ran great until around 45,000 miles. First item to go was the radiator cooling fans. Replacement cost $300.00. At 50,000 miles, belt tensioner broke. Repair cost $250.00. At 55,000 miles, crankshaft sensor died. Repair cost $250.00. At 62,000 miles the water pump broke. Repair cost $900.00. At 70,000 miles the engine develop an oil leak (front seal) and the car began to smoke; badly! At 74,000 miles the transmission began to act up. At 76,000 miles the lifters began to make noise. At 82,000 miles I got rid of the car and bought a 2003 Toyota Camry LE. Couldn't be happier!
