For someone looking for a reliable car, I would not recommend the Intrepid. I had not owned a Dodge product in 20 years and I will probably never own another one, and could not recommend this car to anyone. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Poor reliability Transmission went after 7,000 miles fortunately was still under warranty. However lost use of the car for two weeks.1 power window motor failed, and water pump. Have had intermittent short with dash board lights for 1 year and have yet been able to isolate the problem. control module for radiator fan(fans would not start when motor getting too hot), 2 suspension control arms (car would rattle on very small bumps), 2 hood gas struts (ever received a hood on your head as you check the oil?), and now it has develloped a problem with the transmission (c | | | Previous car: | Ford Taurus, Ford was slightly more reliable, but not as roomy nor was the ride as comfortable, especially on long trips. |
