Intrepid ES
| | Model of the car: | Intrepid ES | | | General comments: | The new Intrepid seems to be a far cry from the original LH series. Everything I have read and heard seems to indicate Chrysler has dealt with the growing pains of the original model. I purchased this vehicle for just under $24,000.00 (Canadian dollars), and it seems to provide a lot more value for the money than either a Taurus or a Malibu. The styling and standard equipment seems to be a better value than the competition.I certainly hope that reliability has been improved over my previous experiences with the Concorde. If it has, then Chrysler has a winner on they're hands with this impressive sporty package that looks-wise, blows away the competition. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Minor complaint is that it is hard to judge the front and rear when parking, although over time I will probably get used to it. Didn't like the fact that ABS brakes were considered an option, even on the ES model, and I had to purchase them at an additional cost. | | | Previous car: | 1993 Chrysler Concorde. I purchased this car used in 96 (steal of a price, or at least so I thought). The Concorde was a beautiful looking and driving car (when it wasn't in the shop). Problems were many, but the hil-lites included numerous AC problems. ( |
