Dodge Intrepid
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Intrepid | | | General comments: | I've had this car for about 9 months now, and have had zero problems. Smooth ride, great handling, outstanding driver and passenger comfort. More solid & refined than previous generation. Excellent experience so far.
This car replaced a 97 Intrepid which was also trouble free. The 2001 model has many subtle improvements over the previous generation (93-97). The 2.7 liter engine is smooth and quiet, but could use a bit more low end torque.
Certainly the best value in a large domestic sedan.
Looked at Bonneville prior to purchase, and there was no comparison. The Bonneville was attractive, but was no match for the Intrepid for overall comfort and handling. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | 2.7 Liter engine could use more low end torque. Huge trunk, limited by small trunk opening. | | | Previous car: | 97 Intreipd, 93 Concorde |
